USS is a concept event series from DJ Chris Stussy, hosted across Europe. The events were built around a simple but distinctive idea: replacing the high-energy strobes of a typical club night with calming, atmospheric lighting. The experience was already defined. It just needed a visual language to match.

THE THINKING
With no existing identity to work from, the starting point was the lighting itself. Refracted light — the way a single source splits into colour and shifts the mood of a room — became the conceptual anchor. It was precise enough to give the work direction, and sensory enough to capture what made the events feel different from anything else in the category.

Soft gradients and fluid forms translate that quality into a flexible identity system, one that sets a tone rather than explains itself. The result feels lit from within rather than designed from without.
